Position Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst (SBA), will report directly to the Information Technology (I.T.) Lead and be responsible for coordinating all activities related to Business Software for the I.T. Department. The role will encompass planning and executing small to large-scale projects for all business software. The incumbent’s expertise will be instrumental in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of our Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems, and he/she will play a key role in managing the execution and oversight of the software development methodology for the support, administration and maintenance of our in-house built software solutions. The SBA shall also ensure the proper functionality and integrity of the Company’s I.T. business data and applications. The position must consistently fulfill these requirements in accordance with Point Lisas Nitrogen Limited’s business objectives, policy guidelines, procedures and through the effective use and management of the available equipment, material, financial and human resources.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Ability to provide oversight in the administration, support, and maintenance of business applications. Offer guidance on system improvements and ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.
• Ability to gather and analyze user requirements, recommendations and develop innovative solutions that enhance business operations including execute rigorous testing and deployment of solutions to production environments seamlessly.
• In-depth knowledge of the implementation and capacity management tools to optimize the performance of IT business systems.
• Ability to administer Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), including installation, configuration, and the use of SQL for database management.  In depth knowledge of data security and integrity protocols.
• Ability to facilitate training sessions for team members and end-users, ensuring effective utilization of IT systems.
• Experience in the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to lead feasibility studies, prepare project plans, and manage the execution of projects across varying complexity levels to deliver measurable results.
• Proficient knowledge of ERP System e.g. JD Edwards (JDE) EnterpriseOne, SAP, Maximo
• Proficient in the development of business solutions using Microsoft tools, coupled with a strong understanding of system testing and deployment methodologies.
• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Administration, Windows Server Administration, and Microsoft 365 Administration.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ethical standards and ability to multi-task in a dynamic result-oriented environment
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.

Preferred Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent from a well-recognized, accredited institution.

• A minimum of nine (9) years of working experience in an Information and Communication Technology environment, with a focus on Business Software Development.

• Preference will be given to candidates with advanced technical training, including Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), MS SQL or other relevant ICT certifications.
