Senior Associate- Inventory Accounting Experience

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Associate with inventory accounting experience to join the BLEWSTREAM ECOSYSTEM. The ideal candidate has a strong background in inventory accounting, is highly organized, and has a keen analytical mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure accurate valuation of inventory in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Analyse and review cost of goods sold (COGS) and identify any variances, discrepancies, or trends in inventory costs.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of inventory accounts, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Coordinate and participate in regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, adjustments, and variances in the ERP system.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory reports to support financial statements and management reports.
• Identify areas for improvement in inventory tracking and accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all accounting principles, standards, and regulations, documenting procedures as necessary.

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in inventory accounting.
• Experience specifically in managing and reconciling inventory accounts and conducting internal and external audits of inventory processes.
•  Highly articulate with excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Legal authorization to work in Trinidad and Tobago
