JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Associate, Data Analysis supports the Enterprise Contracting Center’s information management strategy and the operational information and analytic needs of the Enterprise Contracting Data Analytics Center (ECDAC), leveraging skills and experience to query, analyze, and compile data and reports that drive inputs and decisions for leadership and business teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Service Delivery

• Build optimized data models that support requirements by integrating data from enterprise data warehouses and external sources to enable the creation of robust analyses, dashboards, and operational reporting.
• Deliver accurate, scalable, and consistent best-in-class strategic reporting and analytics capabilities.
• Work collaboratively with various stakeholders, documenting and mapping business process and requirements; identifying the end user's needs; and facilitating the business process redesign and documentation, as needed.
• Act as the data subject matter expert for the team, including responsibilities for tool introductions, dashboard reviews, and issue troubleshooting.
• Build a thorough understanding of the various and often complex systems and data elements to create, support, and enhance both scheduled and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and data sets, ensuring data, reports, and analysis are consistent, accurate, and complete.
• Discover, design, and present actionable business insights to ECC leadership.
• Identify opportunities for innovation within executed tasks, processes and projects that contribute to the improved efficiency and effectiveness of the workgroup.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology with specialization in data analytics.

• Basic knowledge with requirements, data analysis and management maintenance, government and commercial contracts and contracting process, control validation and testing, and monitoring is a plus.

• Experience in developing variables and calculations using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), working with a Structured Query Language (SQL) such as SQL Server and ability to navigate and analyze complex data structures is a plus.

• Experience in and deep understanding of data insights and data strategies is a plus.

• Experience in developing data visualizations and automations.

• Experience using Alteryx or automation strategies is desirable.

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Power BI is required.
