The Senior Accounting Officer is responsible for performing the day to day accounting functions of the Company, its subsidiaries, and the maintenance accounts that it manages.

The Senior Accounting Officer should have demonstrated good decision making skills with ability to work independently while adhering to strict reporting requirements. The incumbent should have good mathematical and reasoning skills and able to work well with others utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in the use of system based general ledger and consolidation tools is highly desired. Proficiency in MS Office suite of products is a requirement.

KEY REPSONSIBILITIES
Management and Operational
- Prepare and data-enter journal entries supported by appropriate documentation for all financial transactions.
- Generate monthly/quarterly/annual reports including trial balance, balance sheet, income statement, cash flow and other routine reports.
- Analyze the financial reports and prepare monthly variance analysis
2. Prepare monthly reconciliations to support accounting records
- Perform bank, accounts payable and related party account reconciliations, and maintain fixed asset register
- Prepare analyses and supporting schedules for major G/L accounts
- Analyze project development expenditure and classify expenditure to appropriate class of accounts.
3. Perform accounts payable functions
- Process purchase orders and supplier invoices in accordance with SOP
- Schedule routine payments and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Perform AP sub-ledger reconciliations with supplier statements
4. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Document SOP for routine transaction into a manual and keep up-to -date
- Document and maintain up to date accounting policies for the company as approved by Management
- Support the operation & development of accounting systems & procedures
5. Support the Audit and Financial Review exercises on quarterly and annual basis.
6. Prepare and submit monthly and annual tax filings to local tax authorities
7. Maintain a systematic filing system for all relevant accounting records
