Senior Accountant

Caribbean Coffee Baristas Limited (CCBL) is searching for a seasoned and detail-oriented Senior General Accountant to lead our finance team. As a Senior General Accountant, you will oversee various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient financial operations.

Key Deliverables & Performance Indicators

The below highlights key deliverables critical for the performance of the role. Performance reviews will be scheduled, based on agreement of metrics required from period-to-period.

• Financial Management: Supervise and manage all aspects of financial accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to guide business decisions.
• Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and manage audits; ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and operations.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all local, state, and federal tax returns.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff; provide training and guidance as needed.

• Advisory Role: Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management based on analysis and interpretation of financial data.

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or managerial roles.
• Skills: Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Leadership: Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing a team.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
• Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex financial information to stakeholders.
• Ethical Standards: Maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality of financial information.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and contribute to organizational goals and objectives.
