Senior Accountant

We're hiring a Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the accounting function, providing insights, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

· The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in a manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

· Accounting Operations: Oversee and ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger transactions.

· Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts and provide variance analysis and commentary.

· Financial Analysis: Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions, including product costing, profitability analysis, and return on investment (ROI) calculations.

· Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS), regulatory requirements, and company policies.

· Audit and Risk Management: Coordinate with external auditors, ensure timely completion of audits, and implement audit recommendations.

· Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.

· Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Professional Qualifications: ACCA Level II or equivalent, bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.

· Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

· Knowledge of Financial and Cost Accounting.

· Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
