The job and the Ideal Candidate

Working collaboratively with our client, an established and reputable hotel property, Profiles Caribbean Inc. is seeking to recruit a reliable and responsible Security and Guest Services Attendant. The ideal candidate will have experience and/or aptitude to perform security duties and assist in maintaining excellent service to guests.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Monitor and oversee the hotel’s property, amenities and visitor areas.
• Monitor and control access to the property.
• Ensure Food & Beverage areas are properly secured outside of service hours.
• Maintain detailed and accurate Security Logbook.
• Assist guest where necessary with luggage and supplies when required.
• Review, store and maintain records and reports of all incidents.
• Deescalate any conflict situations to ensure the safety and comfort of all team members and guests.
• Monitor and control parking areas and ensure the smooth access and exit to authorised motor vehicles on the property.
• Ensure that adequate security is provided for vehicles and contents and adequate checks are done to safeguard the vehicles, property and guests as required.
• Ensure beach and pool furniture is properly arranged and secured daily.
• Assist with maintaining the general maintenance and cleanliness of the property.
• Provide assistance at the Front Desk in the absence of the Receptionist during night shifts.
• Work in hand in hand with other attraction divisions and departments as required.
• Attend schedule training.
• Adhere to and assist in enforcing the company’s policies on Health & Safety, Environmental standards, Fire Prevention, Hygiene, and Discipline.

Requirements 

• Holder of a valid Security License.
• Clean Police Certificate of Character.
• Legal status that enables the applicant to legally work in Barbados.
• Previous experience in security industry would be an asset.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Amenable to providing exceptional guest service.
