The Security Supervisor oversees the daily operations of a security team, ensuring the safety and protection of people, property, and assets. They are responsible for enforcing security protocols, managing staff, and responding to incidents or emergencies

  • Complete and submit minimum One Site Inspection per month ensuring that the safety/ security walk is completed comprehensively.
  • Conduct a minimum of Two (2) Parades covering safety, toolbox talks per week, highlighting the company KPI’s and all relevant HSSE Memorandums, Non-Conformances, and other correspondences.
  • Prepare ad conduct a minimum of 4 hours per month of formal training sessions with the Security personnel under your charge. Topics must be pertinent to Security & HSE, and approved by the Training Manager.
  • Provides daily status reports to OM and situational report by 0700 hours & 1900 hours respectively via email.
  • Provides weekly status reports to OM and situational reports as necessary.
  • Assists OM with special investigations as and when necessary. 
  • Visits all posts at least once per week, for customer liaison, personal appreciation of conditions and training of officers.
  • Draft / review monthly duty roster prior to implementation to client locations.
  • Assists the OM with relieving officers on duty in a timely fashion at locations.
  • Ensure the deployment of full complement of Security Personnel, as per Scope of Works per contract.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate attendance and punctuality records for all officers.
  • Receives and records all absent and late arrival calls from officers, determines acceptability and refers to seniors for appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary.
  • Assists with preparations for In-House training where necessary.
  • Ensures that all applicable reports are properly completed in a timely fashion.
  • Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services.
  • Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation and generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
  • Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone.
  • Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world and seek ways to improve business operations
  • Conduct necessary research & studies to enhance and maintain knowledge of criminal law, rules and legislation.
  • Is available on a 24-hour call for emergency situations.
  • Encourages and exemplifies sound motivational principles among and with subordinates.
  • Is aware of, and committed to, company and customer approved policies on confidentiality, ethics, STOW, HSSEQ and performance standards.
  • Is committed to fair play and justice for all.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities as determined by management, considered reasonably commensurate with a managerial position in a security organisation.
