Responsible for efficient supervision of the operational division to ensure quality performance to meet targeted standards.
Visits all posts at least once per month, for customer liaison and personal appreciation of conditions.
Conducts monthly Customer Reviews in keeping with company policy.
Reviews draft of fortnightly Duty Roster prior to implementation.
Ensures that employees’ time slips are checked and verified for payment of wages in a timely fashion, and that discrepancies are promptly investigated and forwarded to payroll for adjustment where necessary.
Previews all leave applications & approvals and maintain divisional records for planning and control.
Adjudicates disciplinary hearings up to the level so authorised.
Ensures upkeep of Offenders Log.
Refers appeals, where applicable to the COO and CSO.
Receives job applications, conducts preliminary interviews, and compiles supporting documentation for referral to Head Office.
Assists with Recruitment and In-House training as necessary.
Maintains a departmental record of qualifications, retraining and recertification dates of all personnel – e.g. FUEC, Driver’s Permit, PLEA, and First Aid. This will assist Head Office and Divisional strategic planning efforts.
Assists CSO and HSE Manager with special investigations as and when necessary.
Ensures that proper records of accountability are maintained for all company equipment, including but not limited to, firearms & ammunition, radios & ancillary equipment, uniforms & PPE, batons, diaries, office furniture and fittings, motor vehicles, flashlights.
Verifies by signature that designated inventory checks are completed as required.
Reviews quarterly employee appraisal forms completed by Supervisors, conducts second
Ensures that all applicable reports are properly completed in a timely fashion.
Ensures that all applicable records are properly filed and accessible only to persons with the proper authority.
