To assist in providing continuous, coordinated and comprehensive security and surveillance service of the highest quality, ensuring that threats to company personnel, assets and business operations/activities are properly identified, evaluated and countered in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Supreme Ventures Services Limited, a subsidairyof Supreme Ventures Limited, is looking for a Security Operations Manager.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Company’s security plan, integrate well into surrounding communities, developing and maintain good relationships with citizens and police and be the eyes and ears of SVL Group where matters and safety and security are concerned. The incumbent is also required to make submissions of regular reports to the VP Group Security & Intelligence but not limited to weekly reports and monthly comprehensive reports.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in developing policies, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure business continuity planning, loss prevention and fraud prevention and privacy.
  • Assist in overseeing  and coordinating security efforts across the company and liaise with all departments head, human resources, communications, legal, facilities management and other groups.
  • Ensure compliance with all security standards and preventative measures.
    • Maintain relationships with the local Police/Military, Minister of National Security, all reputable Security Intelligence Agencies and with Heads of Security of other international and large local companies. 
    • Advise the company on an ongoing basis and in a timely manner on security issues in the surrounding areas regarding crime, potential threats to company’s business operations, personnel and assets and to recommend effective security measures to ensure that standards are maintained consistent with actual or potential risk.
    • Develop, prepare and monitor the implementation of an appropriate security plan for SVL’s Group designed to improve the overall security.
    • Working with the Supervisor representing the respective Security Provider to ensure that the services offered are in congruence with plan and in the best security interest of the company.
    • Assign tasks and monitor performance of direct reports and staff assigned to projects (this is done jointly with functional manager
    • Assist in carrying out investigations where there ae internal and external security breaches to ascertain responsibility and to effectively report on the findings of those investigations. Such investigations, survey/review be done to determine what occurred, identify and weaknesses, draw appropriate and supportable conclusions and make recommendations to prevent any recurrence.
    • Submit report to VP. Group Security & Intelligence regarding incidents involving staff members, retailers and customers.
    • Assist in performing the relevant risk assessment regarding potential security issues/threat and advise on preventative measures to minimise and or mitigate these risks

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience with 3 years’ in security management experience
  • Bachelors Degree in related field
  • 5 years Military or advanced security training a distinctive advantage
  • Experience in corporate security management and intelligence gathering
  • Experience using relevant technology and equipment all aspects of physical and electronic security, including Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and Intruder Detection Systems (IDS)
  • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis
