Security Officer

To welcome and assist visitors and patients upon arrival at Medcorp Limited, timely opening and closing of automatic door and ensure passageways and entrances remain clear at all times and free from congestion. To maintain quietness and order in waiting and lobby areas.

OBJECTIVE:  To welcome and assist visitors and patients upon arrival at Medcorp Limited, timely opening and closing of automatic door and ensure passageways and entrances remain clear at all times and free from congestion. To maintain quietness and order in waiting and lobby areas. To provide prompt responses to trouble calls from alarm systems, investigate the cause and to take corrective action where possible. To always be alert to assist those in need. Demonstrates a willingness to disseminate information to increase awareness among all members of the Maintenance Department as to the true status of any concerns regarding the facility. To provide a level of safety and comfort to all users by carrying out each task in a safe and organized manner.

REPORTING LINES

• Junior Manager Maintenance/Security
• Junior Supervisor Maintenance/Security 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Evidence of completion of Secondary School.
• At least three (3) years work experience in a similar field.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Of good physical stature.
• At least 23 years old.
• In possession of a valid Police Certificate of Character.
• Willingness to work shift at short notice on weekends, public holidays, nights or during any National Emergency, storm or hurricane.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Always be alert and actively monitoring patients and visitors.
•  Routinely examine panic alarms and conduct internal patrols between common areas.
•  Look out for persons heading to the car park at night.
•  Maintain order in the front lobby and waiting areas.
