Security Manager

The Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing the security and safety of the warehouse facility and its contents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the safety and security of the warehouse facility and its contents.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to warehouse security, including but not limited to, OSHAand local regulations.
• Manage all aspects of the warehouse security program, including the design, installation, and maintenance of security systems such as CCTV, access control systems, alarms, and other security devices.
• Conduct regular security assessments and risk analyses to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities and develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Ensure that all security systems and procedures are in good working order and respond promptly to any security breaches or incidents.
• Manage the security staff and oversee their training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to ensure that they are competent and effective in their roles.
• Ensure that all security staff members adhere to the company's policies and procedures and that they understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Investigate all security incidents, accidents, and thefts, and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
• Work closely with other departments, such as operations and logistics, to ensure that security measures do not impede their operations and that security procedures are integrated seamlessly into the warehouse's overall operations.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement agencies and other security professionals, to gather intelligence and stay informed about security threats and trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in security management, criminal justice, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience in security management, preferably in a warehouse or logistics setting.
• Knowledge of security systems, procedures, and protocols, including CCTV, access control systems, alarms, and other security devices.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to warehouse security, including OSHA, and local regulations.
• Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and supervise a team of security personnel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities and develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
