Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Credit Risk team in the capacity of:
Securities Assistant
Provide administrative support to the department through the logging of collaterals.
Catalogue, maintain and provide the administration of security file management system documents.
Track and monitor the leave schedule, stationery, incoming and outgoing mails.
Location: Kingston
As a Securities Assistant, you will:
- Log details of collateral for credit facilities on the platform, T24.
- Review credit packages and input details of collateral pledged in the platform, T24.
- Process in-house stamping of specified security documents based on composition agreement with Tax Administration of Jamaica.
- Update files with correspondence including but not limited to security documents, insurance renewal and internal memos & letters.
- Catalogue security files for file management system.
- Track and monitor electronic leave schedule for the Department.
- Monitor and submit monthly stationery request.
- Record and track Incoming and Outgoing Mail.
- Collate and process all security documents received for processing at the relevant Government Agencies.
- Prepare monthly Return of Stamp Duty on Instruments as Per Composition Agreement.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Diploma in Business Management, or a relevant discipline or minimum of six (6) CSEC or GCE subjects including English Language and a quantitative subject.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in Banking with at least one (1) year exposure in a credit/ loan environment.
- In-depth knowledge of the processing functionality of T24 core banking application.
- Basic knowledge of the Bank’s credit facilities.
- Knowledge of the Bank’s and unit’s policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of security documentation and processing.
- High degree of accuracy and detail orientation.
- High degree of confidentiality and flexibility.
- Ability to work under pressure, independently in a client and team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in the use of computer software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
