Salesman Driver (with Heavy T)

The Salesman Driver is responsible for growing volume and revenue in the accounts assigned to their designated route by effectively selling products, maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts, and delivering high-quality customer service. This role ensures consistent product availability, timely deliveries, and positive customer experience, ultimately driving growth and satisfaction in the assigned territory.

 

  • Achieve the assigned volume plan by selling to all accounts on your designated route according to the schedule.
  • Sell all authorized products, packages, and ensure all promotional and seasonal products are highlighted and adequately stocked in all accounts.
  • Proactively solicit orders for Vending Plus with the intent to upsell.
  • Ensure pricing guidelines are adhered to and communicated clearly to all customers, ensuring compliance with standard retail prices (SRP).
  • Monitor sales trends and record customer feedback to identify opportunities for volume growth and increased product penetration.
  • Collaborate with Supervisor(s) to develop strategies for maximizing sales within assigned territories.
  • Check inventory levels in all assigned customer accounts to ensure continuous availability of all authorized products, avoiding stockouts.
  • Regularly verify that all products are correctly priced in line with suggested retail prices (SRP) and promotions.
  • Properly use point-of-purchase (POP) materials, and promotional items to drive visibility and sales.
  • Conduct weekly checks to ensure products are displayed using First In First Out (FIFO) to avoid Close to Expiry (CTE’s).
  • Address and resolve any discrepancies in stock levels, pricing, or displays promptly with store managers.
  • Ensure all accounts meet or exceed company merchandising standards and cleanliness expectations.
  • Collect all customer payments according to the respective approved terms, i.e. credit given only to approved credit customers, cheque payments accepted from approved cheque customers and cash payments accepted from cash customers.
  • Service all assigned accounts as per the established route schedule, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries and sales visits.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally to maintain strong business relationships.
  • Accurately document daily sales activities, including orders, deliveries, and customer interactions.

Requirements:

  • 5 CXC Passes including Mathematics and English
  • Heavy T Driver’s License.
  • 2-3 years road sales and distribution experience.
  • Knowledge of Trinidad & Tobago’s Geography ND Road network.
