Sales and Marketing Manager

A fast-growing distribution company operating in western Jamaica is currently seeking to employ the services of an astute and driven Sales and Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will be required to perform or conduct the following tasks at minimum:

  • Development of the entity’s sales strategies. Providing assistance with market research and development of optimal pricing of products.
  • Assist the entity’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the establishment and development of new territories. Providing assistance with strengthening customer relationships.
  • Assist the entity’s CEO in the determination of new products.
  • Ascertaining the needs and demand of the market. Assist with new customers’ acquisition
  • In conjunction with the entity’s chief financial officer (CFO), developing key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales department.
  • Assist the entity’s CFO in the development of sales targets and sales budget.
  • Investigating variances between targeted and actual sales and determining ways for improvements and corrective solutions.
  • Managing a cadre of qualified business development officers and sales representatives island-wide.
  • Managing a group of sales representatives across the entire spectrum of Jamaica.
  • Providing training and development for business development officers (BDOs) and sales representatives across the island.
  • Assist the entity with developing its brand awareness island-wide
  • Assist the entity with the development of marketing strategies and promotional activities
  • Assist executive management with engaging the services of a Brand Ambassador for the Company.
  • Development and maintenance of a comprehensive customer list for the entity.
  • Providing assistance with coordinating outdoor broadcasting activities to drive brand awareness and sales.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should possess the following minimum qualifications and experience for the above position:

  • Bachelors’ degree in marketing and sales or business administration.
  • Possessing a Masters degree in Marketing, Sales or Business Administration would be a plus.
  • At least five years of sales, marketing and business development experience in retail, distributions or fast goods moving industry.
  • At least five years’ experience in the management of medium size teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Good or excellent command of the English language.
  • Excellent ability with interacting at ALL levels.

 

 Compensation

The compensation package for the position will be highly competitive to current market value, with the ability for tremendous growth with the entity. The compensation is expected to be inclusive of monthly commission for achieving sales targets and year end bonus if certain objectives are met by the candidate.
