CAGE St. Lucia is seeking to recruit an energetic, experienced Sales and Business Development Representative to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Sales and Business Development Officer (“SBDO”) will be responsible for helping the General Manager of a CAGE Operating Company drive the anticipated growth and expansion of CAGE’s video lottery terminals/gaming machine route network, by identifying, negotiating  and securing new agent/retailer locations, expanding existing locations and venues, managing agent/retailer relationships, and assisting in the optimization of the financial performance of video lottery terminals and gaming machines for CAGE. This role involves both sales and business development activities, requiring an analytical and organized strategic approach to achieve the Operating Company’s objectives and performance requirements. The General Manager shall set, on a regular basis, the specific monthly performance metrics and tasks for each SBDO consistent with the Operating Company’s annual financial and operating goals and requirements.

 Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field from a recognized academic institution is preferred.
  • Proven track record and experience in sales, business development, or a related role for more than seven (7) years.
  • Experience in the gaming or lottery industry is a plus.

 Equipment Operated to Perform Job:

  • Must own or have access to a private motor vehicle and possess a valid drivers’ license and vehicle insurance.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential locations to operate as a CAGE agent/retailer location.
  • Utilize existing market data and analysis to target high-potential locations to operate as a CAGE agent/retailer location.
  • Develop strategies and initiate contact with potential location owners.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with location owners and managers.
  • Deliver presentations of the history of CAGE route operations in the Caribbean and its cash flow benefits to potential locations owners or managers.
  • Negotiate Agent/Retailer strategic alliance agreements (“Agent Contracts”) ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both parties.
  • Secure all required documents necessary for LS&C and contract creation.
  • Secure signed agreements and increase stakes and revenue to achieve sales targets and quotas.
  • Designing Agent/Retailer Strategies to Increase Commissions and Return on Investment (“ROI”) for Agents/Retailers operating CAGE Locations
  • Suggest strategies to Agents/Retailers to assist in making their business with CAGE more profitable and valuable, including adding more terminals/gaming machines, redesigning the gaming area, upgrading the bathrooms, adding security systems and cameras for better safety and professionalizing its gaming staff.
  • Coordinate with technical teams for the efficient installation of VLTs/Gaming Machines.
  • Ensure all logistical and technical requirements are met.
  • Provide training to the Agent/Retailer owners and staff on VLT/Gaming Machine operation and maintenance.
  • Provide ongoing training support and address any operational issues.
  • Ensure all activities comply with local gaming regulations and company policies.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Monitor and share with the owners and staff the weekly performance of VLTs/Gaming Machines, analyze and share trends and engagement data at the location including promotions and CAGE investments in players during the prior week.  Also, discuss with the Agent/Retailer their thoughts and recommendations on ways to increase play and increased weekly commissions. 
  • Maintain ongoing communication with owners and managers of the locations to ensure satisfaction.
  • Foster long-term relationships to encourage continued collaboration.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of quarterly Agent meetings.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop strategic plans for network expansion and growth.
  • Provide regular reports on sales and development activities in accordance with specified timelines.
  • Gather feedback from owners/managers and players for continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with the Corporate Marketing Department to ensure strategies are aligned for overall objectives.
  • Retain 90% of the newly signed agents’ locations.
