Position:  Sales Supervisor

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

Reports to:        Sales Manager

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Under the supervision of the Regional Branch Manager, the Sales Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and effective management of the specific branch operations, including but not limited to the day to day management of resources, and the supervision and coaching of staff.

The Sales Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Regional Sales Manager with the preparation of the annual branch budget and work plan, the provision of advisory services to prospective or existing clients; assisting in the implementation of new procedures and processes to improve the quality and quantity of loan portfolios, and act as an official representative of the company at meetings/conferences. He or she is expected to provide exceptional service to both internal and external clients.

DUTIES:

  • Develop new business opportunities and expand existing business relationships.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual branch strategic plan.
  • Manage the branch’s loan portfolios to include achieving disbursements targets.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit presentations to the Credit Committee with sound recommendations, in line with the standards set out in the Credit Policy.
  • Conduct periodic field audits and monitor existing clients, to identify changes in their financial circumstances and to identify potential growth opportunities for their businesses.
  • Prepare weekly pipeline reports for the attention of the Regional Sales Manager, which includes number of leads followed, contacts made and applications submitted.
  • Conduct loan generation initiatives for prospective and existing customers. 
  • Lead the implementation and application of marketing programmes and initiatives at the branch level.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and supervision of all staff to ensure that they are kept knowledgeable of products, services, and procedures, relative to the need of the customers they are required to serve.
  • Manage and track performance of all reports and ensure annual performance appraisals are conducted.
  • Monitor staff interactions with customers to ensure the delivery of a high level of customer service.
  • Identifying emerging markets to find new sales opportunities.
  • Provide support for sales associates as they generate leads and close new deals.
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics.
  • Make recommendations to Regional Sales Manager on changes required to product design and product offerings where necessary.
  • Continually develop knowledge of the business climate and the competition within his/her defined geographical space.
  • Create and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement action plans to address performance issues and optimize sales results in consultation with Regional Sales Manager.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners. Understand customer needs and preferences to provide tailored solutions and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with Regional Sales Manager and the Marketing Department to develop and execute strategies to grow loan portfolio and credit & operations and customer service to support overall business objectives and ensure a seamless customer experience.

 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

The incumbent must have:

  • First Degree in Business Administration or equivalent areas.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar field.
  • Knowledge of the local community
  • Have worked in a managerial capacity for over two (2) years, including the supervision of a team.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position is primarily physical, where a part of each work week will be spent in the field, with the incumbent being required to travel to conduct marketing activities, credit related activities and mpresentations.

The working hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays. However, work and training may be required outside of working hours and on weekends, occasionally.
