Nature of Employment - Permanent Full Time Sales & Distribution
Department – Sales
Location - Head Office, Portland, St. Mary & St. Ann
Directly Reporting To - Operations & Business Development Manager
Purpose of the Position
- Drive sales and revenue growth for Fleetwood Jamaica Ltd’s, Orion Manufacturing divison, product lines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing them with product information, addressing inquiries, and building strong relationships to foster long-term partnerships.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and yearly sales targets (target given annually)
- Present and sell company products to current and potential customers
- Manage customer’s accounts to ensure that accounts are kept in good standing, by following-up for collection of payments
- Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
- Prepare sales orders, and reports within QuickBooks
- Maintain a file of current sales materials and price lists)
- To be knowledgeable of all Orion Manufacturing products (including their features and benefits) and a good understanding of our competitors’ products and pricing
- Establish and maintain current and potential customer relationships
- Supervise and regularly communicate with your merchandisers
- Ensure customers shelves are adequately stocked
- Identify and resolve customers’ concerns and requests
- Promptly complete sales reports, including weekly/monthly sales activities i.e. development of new customers, customer follow-up visits/calls, and adherence to goals
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, trends or feedback gathered to appropriate Orion Sales’ staff
- Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales
- Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock
- Promptly attend mandatory training sessions and meetings
- Adherence to the Company Policies and Procedures manual
- Other duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public - in keeping with the hair and beauty industry
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and promotional events
- Work requires significant local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid driver’s license
- A willingness to be flexible and accommodate overnight travel and weekend work

Working Conditions
The job is based on a minimum forty-hour work week; however, the nature of the company’s business will require flexible working hours during the week and possibly on weekends and public holidays.

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five CSEC subjects, including Mathematics and English
- Two or more years of direct experience in sales
- Proven track record of successful sales performance, preferably in a similar product line or industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and effectively convey product information
- Strong negotiation and closing skills to secure sales agreements and meet or exceed sales targets
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required
