In conjunction with top management, participates in the development and implementation of sales strategies and plans, both short and long range, targeted towards existing and new markets that will ensure the increased and sustained growth of the business.

JOB TITLE: Sales Manager
DEPARTMENT: Sales
REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer
Core Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:
  1. Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensures the strong presence of the brand in the market place.
  2. Collaborate with the CEO and other executives in planning the sales strategy, sales margins, budgets and the overall marketing plan for the company.
  3. Establish the company’s sales objectives needed to deliver the sales strategy.
  4. Develop targets for the sales team which are aligned to the sales goals and strategy and provide coaching and mentorship to the sales team when needed.
  5. Monitor and manage operational sales function with assessment of functional team against KPIs.
  6. Set and assess KPIs. Perform appraisals; identify and fill resources and skill gaps.
  7. Manage key customer relationships. Grow the business lines of the company as per the sales strategy.
  8. Ensure proper visibility and availability of Ping’s products in the assigned territory
  9. Conduct market research, provide reports as required, give feedback on market intelligence and competitor activity.
  10. Develop systems for accurate forecasting and ensure follow up with production
  11. Manage business relationships with outlets in designated territory to ensure stock availability at all times and in the desired quantities.
  12. Ensure adequate stock of point of sale materials and monitor in-store merchandising
  13. Actively and aggressively pursue opportunities for new business
  14. Provide ongoing training of salespeople to improve skills.
  15. Develop sales team through motivation, counselling and product knowledge education.
  16. Provide support for all marketing and promotional efforts.
  17. Any other related duties that may be assigned to you by the CEO.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • Sound knowledge of the food industry
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales management, preferably in a FMCG
