The selected team member will assist with the daily activities of the Finance Department in an effort to facilitate accurate recording, timely provision of related reports, and the smooth functioning of all aspects of the Sales accounting function.

Job Title: Sales Accounting Assistant

Responsibilities:

  1. Generate General Journal and Payment Journal
  2. Provide customer service support by promptly responding to inquires or requests regarding invoices, account balances or payment applications 
  3. Provide weekly updates to the Area Manager regarding outstanding invoice balance
  4. Prepare monthly reconciliation of returned cheques.
  5. Settle timely discrepancies relating to DTS recaps, AR matters, commission and any other issues affecting the Sales Contractors.

Specific Knowledge (however acquired) Required to Start:

  1. Working knowledge of general accounting principles.
  2. Working knowledge of accounting software packages.
  3. Working knowledge of the Company’s accounting procedures and practices.
