Position: STEM Coach/Advisor 

Compensation Package: JMD $4,216,400 – $5,216,400

Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians? Do you have a strong academic background in STEM and a drive to mentor and empower students from under-resourced communities?

Christel House Jamaica, a part of the global Christel House network, is seeking a dynamic STEM Coach/Advisor to support the academic and career growth of our students. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in innovative educational environments and is committed to creating transformative opportunities in STEM fields.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging, hands-on STEM curriculum and enrichment programs.

  • Provide individualized academic coaching and career guidance to students interested in STEM pathways.

  • Advise students on college preparation and scholarship opportunities in STEM disciplines.

  • Collaborate with teachers to integrate STEM learning across subjects.

  • Build partnerships with STEM organizations, universities, and professionals to expose students to real-world STEM experiences.

  • Organize STEM-related clubs, competitions, and outreach events.

  • Support data collection and reporting on STEM program outcomes.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/B.Ed) in STEM-related field, Special Education, or Reading.

  • STEM Certification (formal training or professional certification in STEM education or program development).

  • Strong communication and mentoring skills.

  • Experience working in educational or youth development environments is a plus.

  • Passion for equity in education and commitment to the mission of Christel House.
