The successful applicant would need to fulfill the role of software developer in managing and taking charge of all responsibilities associated with Linux and Windows server environments.

Summary of Software developer duties

Responsible for performing a variety of duties of programming assignments, procedures, and data processing functions.  Maintaining and modifying software programs as needed.  Support the development of software programs and use requirements and suggestions to improve the functionality of the software.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

Analyzes software requirements and user interface design specifications to determine the feasibility of design within time constraints.

Consults with team members to evaluate the interface between hardware and software and plan a user interface design strategy within established standards.

Formulates and designs software source code according to specifications using the appropriate programming language(s).

Write sufficient comments in the source code to assist other programmers in subsequent revisions.

Confers with members of the team concerned with programming to resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.

Conducts software system testing by entering test data and running situational procedures to determine if programs operate according to specifications.

Analyze the performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation and approval of the supervisor.

Maintain confidentiality concerning the information being processed, stored, or accessed.

Education, Technical and non-technical requirements

1-Degree in computer science or IT-related field

2-Proficiency in programming language Java – at least two years of programming experience

3-Knowledge of IDE tool Eclipse

4-Understand HTML, CSS, Javascript, JSP, Servlets, Spring MVC, Web Services/API

5-Proficiency in an SQL database.  Knowledge of Oracle will be an advantage

6-Understand the software development lifecycle - experience working in an AGILE development environment

7-Good communication skills

8-Knowledge of Apache, Linux, Apache Tomcat, Android development, PL-SQL, etc. would be an
