SALARY SCALE: $2,771,743.49 - $3,346,058.73 per annum.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for reviewing the company’s business systems and identifying areas for development of technical solutions to automate and/or improve business processes.  

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• Information systems, business process reengineering practices and methodologies
• Business applications performance monitoring using logging mechanisms.
• Systems design and development methodology and database management systems, including Oracle, MS SQL.
• PHP, HTML, JavaScript, VB, ASP.NET, ETL concepts and other application development tools
• Data access and retrieval tools, including SQL reporting tools
• Relational database management systems utilised organisation-wide

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or equivalent 
• Five (5) years’ experience in designing, developing, and implementing computer applications in an on-line environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review business systems and identify areas of IT interventions to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Establish and maintain company dashboard portal and message delivery mechanisms, so the right information is delivered to the right user at the right time.
• Examine existing processing methods and related procedures; recommend modifications as necessary to conform to modern information systems and technology methods.
• Prepare detailed, logical flowcharts and diagrams outlining the order in which data are to be processed, where decisions must be made, and sequence of equipment operations involved for systems and applications.
• Design and write information systems as required; perform debugging and testing procedures on programmes.
• Configure current or new systems to be consistent with organisational policies/procedures as directed.
• Monitor and review databases, system, and application logs to verify the integrity and availability of server and other IS resources and the completion of scheduled tasks.
• Assist with and facilitate security monitoring to identify, assess and correct intrusions, or to escalate as necessary, to maintain security and integrity of assigned systems.
• Facilitate performance tuning, data backups hardware upgrades and restorations for assigned applications as required.
