Our client located in Port of Spain Trinidad is seeking to fill the position of a  PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR 


 

COMPENSATION: $6,000 to $8,000.00 per month 

 

1. Five O’Levels including Mathematics and English Language
2. Degree or Diploma in Accounting
3. Excellent organizational and time-management skills
4. Computer literacy and experience with MS Office applications
5. 2-3 years working experience in a payroll environment
6. Hands-on experience with HR and Payroll software 
7. Good Communication Skills; Business Writing is an asset

 

 Principal Responsibilities and Duties

 Report to Payroll Services Manager, as designated by the company, at times and in format specified by the Manager on service functions provided.

  • Maintain and recommend updates to the company's requirements, computerized application software, and procedures for service functions provided.
  • As assigned by Payroll Services Manager and in accordance with current procedures:
  • Provide schedules and assist payroll service functions in statutory records processing for the company's payroll clients.
  • Provide schedules and assist payroll service functions in information verification and reporting, inclusive of liaison with clients, statutory agencies as required, for transaction processing.
  • Process cheques payments received from clients for payments of statutory charges – cheque accuracy verification, receipting, and records management. Provide follow-up as necessary with clients on cheque payments.
  • Assist payroll service functions with upkeep of on line and hardcopy data files including procedure changes, sorting, lodging and retrieving of file information.
  • Assist payroll service functions with the development of annual holiday calendars for each payroll country serviced by the company.
  • Assist other personnel in providing responses to client inquiries and other client related information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
