SECURITY OFFICER

Under the direct supervision of the Security Manager, the In-house Security Officer must oversee all areas of the hotel property, inside and out, from the parking lot to banquet halls and private guest rooms.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

1. Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
2. Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
3. Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
4. Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
5. Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
6. Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
7. Keep track of all the cameras installed in the hotel premises and report if there is any suspicion.
8. Monitor the alarms and make arrangement for evacuation in case of emergency.
9. Maintain security station with a proper information database and stay connected with the security room so that quick actions can be taken at times of emergency.
10. The security officer should keep a constant check on the other security personals and see whether they are performing their responsibilities up to the standards and take corrective actions if anyone is found at fault.
11. Performs other duties as required.

 QUALIFICATIONS

• Investigation and security training
• Powers of arrest training
• CPR/first aid trained
• Trained in report writing, etc.
• At least 4 CXC passes
