Massy Wood is currently recruiting for an SCM Analyst with some experience in the oil and gas industry.

 

Overview / Responsibilites

 

The SCM Analyst is responsible for assisting from the start of the project, performing administrative and technical tasks necessary for the subcontracting strategy, analytical assessments of subcontractors, budgetary procurement, pre-qualification process, subsequent contractor performance and general support in other procurement activity. 

                       

 The incumbent is required to maintain a focus on key deliverables and effective subcontract administration activities throughout the subcontract cycle from strategy development to final reconciliation and close-out activities including but not limited to the following:

 

  •  Develop and initiate the Subcontract strategies and individual contracting plans.
  • Initiate and identify subcontractors for the strategy.
  • Lead the prequalification process, co-ordinate responses and discipline review including HSE/Quality/Technical/Financial,
  • Evaluate proposed financial data, follow up Credit Agency rating with (Dun & Bradstreet), or similar; financial metrics and weighting,
  • Prepare final report and communicate the document.
  • Prepare budgetary Request for Quotations (RFQ), 
  • Prepare and maintain Subcontract status report(s), and distributing per the project’s distribution matrix
  • Lead the subcontractor performance process
  • Determine frequency of Performance Feedback reporting.  Single contract/PO, monthly, quarterly, annually dependent on the frequency and complexity of the scope of supply/service,
  • Responsible for all commercial matters related to the on-site administration activities of the awarded Subcontracts,
  • Providing overall Subcontract support to the technical representation monitoring and tracking of progress of all Subcontract deliverables and activity milestone dates,
  • Review and distributing correspondence about the Subcontract and preparing formal correspondence to the Subcontractor for review, and approval,
  • Maintaining journals for assigned Subcontracts and expediting input from other disciplines   
  • Records performance discrepancies, complete the relevant improvement/NCR process, report on subcontractor findings.
  • Performs all other related job functions as required.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) from a recognised university
  • CIPS certification up to level 4 minimum (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a related role in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Ability to synthesise complex or diverse information
  • Ability to work effectively, prioritise and develop realistic action plans in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Seeks ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and trustworthiness
  • Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly
  • Proficient in Computer Applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications (MS Word & Excel).
  • Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago.
