The Sales Officer is responsible for driving ticket sales, securing new customers, and maximizing revenue through direct sales strategies. This role focuses on achieving sales targets, building customer relationships, and enhancing market penetration to support the airline's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1.  Sales Strategy Execution:

 

  • Take full ownership of executing the sales plan to maximize ticket sales and revenue generation.
  • Develop and implement targeted sales tactics to drive customer acquisition, increase market share, and expand into new business sectors.
  • Identify and capture high-value sales opportunities across both direct and indirect sales channels.

    2. Customer Acquisition and Retention:
  • Lead proactive efforts to acquire new customers and secure long-term business relationships.
  • Focus on converting leads into loyal customers by leveraging tailored sales presentations and negotiation strategies.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value clients and travel accounts, ensuring a high level of customer retention and satisfaction.

    3. Sales Performance and KPIs:
  • Drive sales results by meeting or exceeding key performance indicators (KPIs) related to ticket sales, customer acquisition, and overall revenue growth.
  • Regularly analyze sales performance and make necessary adjustments to strategies to achieve set targets.
  • Provide detailed sales reports and insights to management, highlighting trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement.

    4. Partnership and Relationship Management:
  • Actively prospect and manage relationships with travel agencies, corporate clients, and other high-revenue partners to drive sales.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with partners to maximize business and ensure mutual profitability.
  • Maintain regular contact with key partners, ensuring their needs are met and generating additional sales opportunities.

    5. Sales Analysis and Market Research:
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify new sales opportunities and growth areas.
  • Monitor competitor activity, customer feedback, and market trends to refine sales strategies and ensure competitiveness.
  • Use data insights to forecast sales trends, adjust tactics, and prioritize opportunities.

    6. Sales-Driven Promotions:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales-driven promotions that incentivize bookings and customer conversions.
  • Focus on promotions that directly impact ticket sales and customer retention, ensuring the maximum return on investment.

    7. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
  • Work closely with operations, finance, and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of sales initiatives and customer satisfaction.
  • Share sales insights with the team to align strategies and identify opportunities for improving sales performance.

    8. Budget and Resource Management:
  • Ensure cost-effective execution of sales campaigns, with a focus on maximizing revenue generation.
  • Manage resources efficiently, optimizing sales efforts to deliver the best results within budget constraints.

    Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in sales, with a focus on achieving aggressive sales targets, ideally within the aviation, travel, or tourism industries.
  • Strong track record of customer acquisition, relationship building, and contract negotiation.
  • Demonstrated ability to close sales and generate revenue through a proactive sales approach.
  • Strong understanding of sales metrics and KPIs, with the ability to analyze data to drive decisions and improve sales strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build relationships and drive business.
  • Highly motivated and results-driven, with the ability to thrive in a competitive, high-pressure environment.
  • Associates degree in Business, Sales, or a related, Bachelor’s degree would be a plus.
