We are seeking a motivated Route Sales Supervisor to oversee our sales team and ensure effective distribution of products to our customers. The ideal candidate will manage daily operations, drive sales performance, and maintain strong customer relationships.

The Route Sales Supervisor is responsible for building and leading the team in the achievement of the division’s strategic objectives with regards to Points of Distribution, Sales and Portfolio Mix.

Responsibilities

  • Support team members in achieving stated targets for Sales, Points of Distribution, Brand and Look of Success
  • Devise and implement strategies to optimize product penetration and sales including but not limited to, product mixes, promotions and other initiatives
  • Conduct frequent audits of assigned accounts to assess compliance and identify potential opportunities
  • Provide ongoing evaluation and coaching in the trade and with team members in one- on- one sessions
  • Effectively manage customer inventory to reduce expiration, spoilage and returns
  • Supervise the financial control functions – including collections and account reconciliation
  • Actively chair, participate and manage sales meetings
  • Continuously monitor team performance against targets and employ/ recommend strategic measures for improvement
  • Appropriately manage, communicate and follow up on matters arising with internal and external customers
  • Any other duty assigned within the scope of the job

 

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary Level Qualifications in Business Administration or equivalent with at least two (2) years’ experience in Sales or a Customer facing position required
  • Competent in the use of MS Office productivity tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Sales oriented with sound understanding of sales performance metrics and revenue impact
  • Strong knowledge of the industry, clients and products
  • People-oriented and results driven with great interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills with great team building and motivational abilities
  • Ability to build team confidence and manage for results
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, resource management, flexibility and adaptability competencies
  • Drivers License-Must own or posses a reliable motor vehicle
