We are looking for an energetic Rooms Division Trainer whose main purpose is to design and deliver customer service and technical skills training programs across all departments of the Rooms Division.

 

We are looking for an energetic Rooms Division Trainer whose main purpose is to design and deliver customer service and technical skills training programs across all departments of the Rooms Division, using different training methods and considering different learning styles, to engage, motivate and meet company objectives. The Rooms Division Trainer will also maintain a training database and audit service quality throughout the resort.  

 

 

  MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct daily customer service and technical skills observations/audits
  • Prepare audit reports for HODs
  • Design and conduct on-the-job training for the Rooms Division across all departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Bell Desk)
  • Monitor and evaluate training progress of all Rooms Division new hires.
  • Assist in coordinating internal and external trainings
  • Provide verbal & written recommendations to improve any operational and/or revenue opportunities that should include product safety and quality, customer service, facility cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Develop new SOPs when needed or when new procedures are implemented.
  • Implement SOP checklist /evaluation tracking system
  • Other administrative duties assigned
EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED TRAINING AND SKILLS
  • BSc. Hospitality and Tourism Management or related field

  • Must have at least 3 years of experience working in a hotel across the Rooms Division, 2 of which should be at a supervisory level or as a Certified Trainer.

COMPETENCIES
  • Fluent in English and a second language would be an asset, preferably Spanish
  • Good supervisory skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work in a fast- pace, high energy and demanding work environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
