We are hiring River Tubing Tour Guides for our client in Hanover.

River Tubing Tour Guides

Overview:

We are seeking Tour Guides to provide guests with accurate tour information and deliver a consistently safe, engaging, and fun experience while upholding company standards and ensuring environmental responsibility.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) CXC subjects, including English
  • Proficiency in a foreign language is an asset
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a related role
  • Certificate in public speaking is desirable

 Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of all tours and routes
  • Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging situations
  • Friendly and welcoming personality
  • Capable of working under pressure and handling complaints professionally
  • Ability to use initiative in dynamic environments
  • Commitment to safety, guest satisfaction, and team collaboration

Duties and Responsibilities:

Route Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain the river and tubing trail
  • Identify and report trail or equipment repairs to the Supervisor/Manager

Tour Operations

  • Prepare the tubing area and ensure all facilities (gift shop, restrooms, bar) are clean before guest arrival
  • Inspect, patch, pump, and sanitize tubes as needed
  • Greet and welcome guests to the site
  • Ensure all guests complete and sign the release form prior to starting the tour
  • Monitor and enforce all safety procedures and report any breaches immediately
  • Report accidents or incidents promptly to your Supervisor
  • Share accurate and engaging information about the environment, including plants and wildlife
  • Cross-promote available on-site amenities (gift shop, photo area, jerk shack, bar)

Grooming and Conduct

  • Maintain proper grooming and wear the full company uniform at all times
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, acting as a professional ambassador of the organization

Meetings and Other Duties

  • Attend required monthly and team meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Authority To:

  • Recommend improvements to enhance the tour experience.

Performance Criteria:

  • This position is successfully performed when:
  • Guests receive accurate and engaging tour information
  • All safety protocols are followed without exception
  • Guests report a positive, professional experience throughout the excursion
