Main Function:

The Retail Experience Assistant Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations at our Mega Mart store, focusing on creating a welcoming, informative, and enjoyable customer experience. This role combines operational management, team leadership, and customer engagement, with an emphasis on supporting True Pet Food’s mission to enhance pet care. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and organized leader with a talent for building strong customer relationships, managing a high-performing team, and driving sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, providing an exceptional shopping experience and sharing product knowledge about True Pet Food’s offerings.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs, offer advice, and ensure satisfaction with their purchases.
  • Set and maintain high customer service standards and train team members to deliver consistent and quality service.
  • Manage all aspects of store operations, including inventory, stock organization, and display standards.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, opening/closing duties, and ensure the store is maintained to the highest standards.
  • Track inventory, coordinate with suppliers, and manage stock levels to ensure popular items are always available.
  • Coordinate with the special projects coordinator to plan and execute in-store promotions, brand activations, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Develop deep product knowledge and stay informed about promotional offers, helping to drive sales through effective customer engagement.
  • Collect customer feedback on promotions and activations, providing insights to the marketing and product development teams to refine future campaigns.
  • Track and report on sales, customer service, and inventory metrics, using data to optimize the customer experience.
  • Generate reports on store performance, identifying trends and opportunities to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2-3 years of experience in retail management or customer experience, ideally in pet care or specialty retail.
  • Proven track record in team leadership, driving sales, and managing customer-focused retail operations.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and employee engagement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in retail software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
