Retail Agent

Desirable:

• High School Diploma- 5 C.X.C’s/ G.C.E’s.
• 3 years Retail experience, preferably in the Hospitality Industry.
• Certification of previous training in computers.
• Experience with computers, calculators or word processors.
• Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Welcome customers by greeting them; offering them assistance and ascertain what each customer wants or needs.
• Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters, suggesting items.
• Advise customers by providing information on products.
• Assist customers make selections by building customer confidence, offering suggestions and opinions.
• Document sales by creating or updating customer profile records.
• Process payments by totalling purchases; processing checks, cash, and store or other credit cards.
• Keep guests informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interests.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Must be willing to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays and extended shifts
• Maintain contact with all guests in the stores to ensure high levels of Guests Satisfaction.
• Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.

• Pre-sell and sell in new items, promotions and initiatives to all levels of store personnel.

• Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
• Compute sales prices, total purchases and receive and process cash or credit payment.
• Maintain records related to sales.
• Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to prevent or handle these situations.
• Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise. Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers.
• Arrange and display merchandise to promote sales.
• Clean shelves, counters, and tables.
• Bag or package purchases and wrap gifts.
• Help customers try on or fit merchandise.
• Inventory stock and requisition new stock.
