Restaurant Manager
The Restaurant Manager provides leadership, coaching and support to the restaurant team by developing and planning effective strategies to improve the restaurant performance. Thus, ensuring exceptional team member and guest experiences and strict compliance with the company’s operational standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in business/hospitality management or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position with accountability for sales and people management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and motivate employees at all levels.
- Sound management level planning, directing, leading, problem solving and controlling skills.
- The ability to formulate, analyze and present financial data.
- Strong work ethic coupled with good organizational skills.
- The ability to perform, cope with and drive change in a fast-paced environment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains the highest possible level of CHAMPS.
- Takes an active role in customer service and customer relations.
- Monitors and participates in all aspects of the Balance Score Card.
- Tracks labour and product costs to meet set company targets; orders supplies, paper and food products needed; maintains proper inventory levels and controls; controls waste, plans weekly schedule for restaurant employees.
- Follows KFC procedures for receiving, preparing, holding, packing and serving products.
- Maintains a high level of productivity through motivation of all subordinate employees.
- Prepares and submits required reports, using approved projection techniques and security measures.
- Follows Cash Handling & Security procedures.
- Keeps required personnel and performance information up to date, develops, motivates and effectively trains within the eLearning Framework and likewise ensures that all Training Plans for the restaurant are fully executed.
- Maintains a safe work environment.
- Assists in fulfilling marketing goals and objectives as well as community activities as indicated by the Marketing Department.
