To efficiently manage the Blue Haven Marina Restaurant & Bar. To provide friendly, efficient and responsive service to guests and fellow employees, through verbal and written communication at the various restaurants, bars and event locations.
Summary of Responsibilities: • Fully responsible for the Blue Haven Marina Restaurant & Bar • Responsible for kitchen and service operations • Open and close the restaurant • Schedule shifts and assign table sections to waitstaff • Resolve customer questions and complaints professionally • Monitor and respond to online reviews and feedback • Conduct payroll activities accurately and on time • Ensure the restaurant follows health and safety regulations • Place orders for ingredients, utensils and equipment as stock is depleted or damaged • Source better deals on resources and equipment as needed • Record all income and expenses, make sure cash registers are balanced at the end of every shift • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service • Drive innovative promotions, menus, and concepts, creating a destination of choice for external guests • Lead and support the opration in the achievement of their financial and operational targets • Fully responsible for the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts • Implement effective control of food, beverage, labor, and operating expenses. • Assist in the preparation of the annual strategic plan and achieve the goals and targets therein • Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to drive revenue • Ensure the implementation of standards in guest service and constantly seek out ways to improve product and service as well as increase volumes and profits • Assist and or oversee the selection, training, and development of all colleagues to ensure timely recruitment and career growth • Follow department safety policies, procedures, and service standards •
Other duties as assigned Educational and Other Requirements: • Free-standing restaurant opening experience • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required • University/College degree • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities • Minimum of 3 years of previous supervisory experience within a restaurant is preferable • Prior experience and knowledge using payroll software • Strong leadership skills with the capacity for development • Ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner • Innovative and trustworthy • Ability to remain impartial during conflict • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays • Caribbean Experience • Ability to read and write English fluently • Ability to understand and utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems and other computer systems • Ability to follow technical instructions/diagrams • Commitment for self-development and a willingness to learn
