Job Function:

The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for guiding, supporting, and developing all staff under their supervision and effectively managing daily operations to ensure that food safety, cash management, product preparation, cleanliness and inventory control standards are maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Manager cash functions by ensuring that all cash management procedures are adhered to according to established guidelines.
• Assist with the adjustments to recipes and operational procedures and ensure they are enforced.
• Plan and coordinate routine training including an eight-week developmental plan for the Customer Service Team Member (CSTM).
• Assist with the development of staff rosters and ensure that the information is communicated.
• Adjust schedules to support operations when needed.
• Maintain service standards according to established guidelines.
• Perform inventory checks in accordance with established guidelines daily, weekly and monthly.
• Perform all administrative functions in the performance management process.
• Enforce all healthy and safety guidelines and ensure the guidelines are adhered to.
• Plan, organize, direct, and effectively manage the job activities of staff in line with established policies and procedures.
• Effectively handle disciplinary matters in accordance with company policy. Inform the Branch Manager of such occurrences.
• Perform all relevant administrative duties by ensuring that all documents are accurately completed. Example disciplinary, supplementary, accident and incident forms.
• Ensure that all daily CSTM and Management Checklist are completed to assist in the smooth operations of the restaurant.
• Detect and address any operational shortfalls or issues.
• Ability to perform all duties relating to the position of Supervisor and Customer Service Team Member.
• Provides support to the Branch Manager to ensure the effective management of the restaurant operations. Put forward ideas and solutions to improve the sales and staff performance of assigned restaurant.
• Review daily and weekly sales with the Branch Manager to develop solutions to increase sales.
• Performs all tasks in the restaurant for food prepping, working on the pizza table, grill and housekeeping duties.
• Lead team briefings to promote a harmonious work environment and teamwork.
• Assist the Branch Manager to communicate new Human Resource and Operational policies to keep staff informed.
• Perform any other assigned duties related to the effective management of the branch.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of Two (2) years in a similar position and industry.
• Diploma in Food Preparation or Hospitality Management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
• Certificate in Customer Service Management.
• Business Management or Health and Safety certification would be an asset.
