Reservoir Engineering Manager

To direct all Reservoir Engineering activities regarding the identification, evaluation and development of oil and gas reserves in accordance with industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops and oversees implementation of a Reservoir Engineering Strategy that is in line with the Company’s Business Plan, Projects and Major Initiatives.
• Provides strategic direction for Resource Progression within the Company to enable Reserves Replacement and Reserves/Production KPIs.
• Works closely with the Geoscience Manager to enable a multi-disciplined approach to the understanding of the Subsurface.
• Provides a broad range of technical assurance and advice to Reservoir Engineering teams across Reserves Progression, Improved Oil Recovery and Prospect Generation workflows and processes.
• Promotes new ways of working, change management and technological advances that improve workflows and processes. 
• Prepares, monitors and reports on the Company’s overall production profile and profile wedges.
• Provides support to Government mandated and other stakeholders’ initiatives.
• Leads HSE Compliance for all Reservoir Engineering led activities.
• Develops strategic goals, objectives and key performance indicators for Reservoir Engineering and utilizes the Performance Management System to measure, manage, and motivate performance.
• Develops and implements staffing strategy and effectively leads a team of professionals by developing talent and cultivating a high-performance culture.
• Supports the development of departmental budgets and monitors and controls utilization.
• Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.

Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline will be an asset.

Minimum Experience

• A minimum of twelve (12) years' experience in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering, ten (10) of which must be demonstrated experience in Reserves Progression, IOR and FDP workflows and processes.
• A minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory/managerial position, in a similar role.
• Experience in world class exploration and production projects in different (geographic) locations will be an asset.
