Responsible to build distribution and visibility in the assigned area, by assisting the Sales Driver in delivering and merchandising the products sold within assigned routes.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible to build distribution and visibility in the assigned area, by assisting the Sales Driver in

delivering and merchandising the products sold within assigned routes.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in building positive relationships with customers in the down trade.
  • Engage, sell and deliver products to stores
  • Merchandise products in customer stores to ensure brand visibility.
  • Aid in the implementation of sales initiatives.
  • Assist in the restocking of products.
  • Ensure the truck has adequate stock for sales at all times.
  • Ensure the safe and secure storage of products of the truck.
  • Ensure adherence to stock management procedures.
  • Track customer payments and aid in the collection of payments within the set timeframes.
  • Ensure transactions are compliant with company and government regulations.
  • Expeditiously rectify customer payment disputes.
  • Promptly respond to external and internal enquiries.
  • Adhere to procedural manual and guidelines wen carrying out duties.
  • Prepare, maintain and submit reports as required.
  • Assist in the development and execute strategic plans for the department.

ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Collection of outstanding monies from customers.
  • Meeting set monthly targets
  • On time submission of reports
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 CXC subjects including Mathematics
  • Sales/Merchandising experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent Time Management and Customer Service Skills.
  • Must be computer literate
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and creativity.
  • Detail oriented, pays keen attention to accuracy.
  • Physical ability to load and off-load a truck as well as merchandise products in customer
  • stores.
  • Must be able to function independently and handle a variety of responsibilities under
  • pressure.
  • Commitment to excellence.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

 External: Maintain a pleasant and effective relationship with the Division’s Customers.

 Internal: General Manager, Sales Manager, Department Heads, Sales Personnel, Customer

Service, and Warehouse Personnel.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

This role operates within the field with interaction with customers, full time between the hours of 7 am – 5 pm. You will be expected to work beyond standard operating hours as the need arises

and your co-operation is anticipated; however please note this role does not qualify for over

time.
