CORE FUNCTION

The Regional Retail Manager will oversee and coordinate all retail activities in an assigned region.

 

REPORTING AND ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Retail Operations Manager.
Direct supervision given to: Branch Personnel.
Liaise with: Other Branches, Head Office Departments, Customers, Suppliers.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership to the assigned region, overseeing retail activities and stores.
  • Ensure products and services comply with company policies, food safety regulations, and local health standards across all restaurants.
  • Review and analyse regional sales, operational records, and reports, using data to project sales and determine profitability.
  • Collaborate with store managers to develop sales goals for each location, monitor progress, and develop strategies to attract and retain customers.
  • Work with the Retail Operations Manager to identify local trends and develop marketing programs and promotions to increase sales.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement region-specific strategies that attract new customers and drive sales.
  • Solicit and implement methods to reduce waste, decrease costs, and improve profits, ensuring agreed strategies are implemented efficiently and timely.
  • Schedule and chair regular meetings to share information, set/revise goals, and increase morale.
  • Collaborate with Retail Operations Managers to identify and target new markets.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development to branch managers to improve leadership skills and overall performance.
  • Immediately address any lapses in compliance with corporate policies or local/national laws.
  • Ensure appropriate levels of human resources are maintained in the branches to meet objectives.
  • Prepare and implement budgets with the Retail Operations Manager and monitor regional expenses.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the market, competition, and trends in operations, sales techniques, and strategies.
  • Conduct consistent and meaningful performance appraisals in accordance with company standards.
  • Identify and recommend appropriate training for employee development.
  • Ensure pest control activities are executed in accordance with prescribed standards.
  • Assist in developing and executing a business continuity recovery plan for emergencies.
  • Foster a harmonious working environment free from discrimination and harassment.
  • Ensure turnaround time for customer service is maintained at a maximum of 180 seconds.
  • Ensure all frontline staff use the company's standard welcome lines.
  • Perform any other related duties that may be assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of a BSc in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • At least two (2) years of experience at the managerial level or three (3) years at the supervisory level.
  • A current Food Handler’s Permit.

  • Knowledge of company guidelines and operational procedures.

  • Ability to drive for extensive hours.
