Recruitment & HR Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Recruitment &Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes for the company.  The Recruitment & Human Resource Coordinator must have thorough knowledge of HR best practices and have innovative ideas. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.  R & HR Coordinator must be able to manage the full recruitment cycle and ensure staffing requirements are being met.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a liaison between employees and the Human Resource Department.
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process.
  • Submits requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Prepares new-employee files.
  • Design and implement overall recruiting strategy
  • Consult with operations and administrative managers to confirm staff requirements and specific job objectives
  • Write and post job descriptions on career websites, newspapers and universities boards
  • Source candidates by using databases and social media
  • Evaluate and screen resumes and cover letters
  • Use recruiting tools like tests and assignments to assess candidates’ skills
  • Conduct phone, Zoom and/or in-person interviews
  • Provide a shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Help the hiring team with recruiting methods and interview questions
  • Contact new employees and conduct onboarding sessions
  • Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires
  • Stay up-to-date with current recruiting methods
  • Attend job fairs and careers events
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadline
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes like phone interviews and reference checks
  • Ability to conduct different types of interviews (e.g. structured, competency based and behavioral)
  • Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems and candidate management systems
  • Familiarity with social media, especially LinkedIn

Education and Experience:

  • BSc degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or relevant field
