Massy Wood is seeking a Recruitment Assistant for six (6) months, responsible for providing administrative support and assisting the coordination and delivery of the Recruitment function.
Overview / Responsibilites
Duration: 6 months
Create vacancies, and run advertisements both internally and externally via newspaper ads and online recruitment websites, including Caribbean Jo.bs
Liaise with employment agencies, when necessary, in sourcing suitable candidates.
Run candidate search on internal and external recruiting databases.
Schedule interviews and coordinate communications on behalf of team members and candidates.
Verify certificate authenticity with relevant institutions.
Administer assessments and conduct the relevant reference/background checks for identified candidates.
Ensure all employment prerequisites are completed before start of employment, including drug testing, UKOOA medical, HSSE training, such as PLEA, TBOSIET etc. and relevant site requirements.
Coordinate the onboarding process, including ensuring all new hire requests are completed, arranging the necessary approvals, assisting new employee in completing induction documentation, requesting PPE and sending out the organisational welcome notice.
Work with hiring manager to complete iCIMS Hiring Manager Checklist.
Responsible for ensuring the regular update of orientation presentation content and the delivery of such.
Create/activate profile for new hires in company’s HRIS, Mpower as well as create new employee files and update relevant stakeholders/crews folder.
Assist with the review and updating of all job descriptions in order to ensure that there is a valid JD for each position within the company.
Update project and department organisational charts on a monthly basis.
Provide HR support to the Business Development team in relation to bids and tenders.
Liaise with the Commercial team in supporting the PAAFing process in preparing CVs for PAAFing purposes.
Assist with departmental projects as required. For e.g. HRIS audits etc.
Provide general internal HR support to all internal stakeholders.
Perform all other job-related functions as required by your leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline from a recognised university
A minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar position.
Ability to work effectively and prioritise in a fast-paced, high performance work environment.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Inspires and motivates others to work well and accepts feedback.
Seeks ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
Ability to make decisions in a timely manner and exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
Intermediate computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office.

Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and trustworthiness.
Valid Certificate of Good Character (must not be older than 6 months).
Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago.
