A company in the aviation industry is seeking an experienced and dynamic Ramp Manager to oversee and coordinate ramp operations.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee manpower planning and the day-to-day operation of ramp services ensuring optimal staffing and smooth execution of duties.
  • Monitor the serviceability and rental of ground service equipment (GSE), ensuring cost efficiency and minimal downtime.
  • Ensure timely reporting of daily ramp operations, including flight servicing updates and incident reports, to relevant departments.
  • Facilitate and oversee the delivery of all required training programs to meet the standards of the company and regulatory authorities.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance ramp efficiency, reduce delays, and improve employee productivity and morale.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ramp operations to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance and Safety Departments to ensure all ramp equipment is regularly inspected, maintained, and meets operational safety standards.

ACADEMIC & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a relevant management qualification.
  • Experience in aviation or ground handling operations would be an asset.
  • A minimum of (3) years of working experience at the management level.
  • Strong reasoning abilities and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; fluency in English required.
