Radiologist Consultant

The Business and Employment Centre is seeking to recruit a skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Consultant. The successful candidate will perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging services to support the clinical needs of our client.

The Business and Employment Centre is seeking to recruit a skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Consultant. The successful candidate will perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging services to support the clinical needs of our client. He or she will provide expert interpretation of imaging studies, ensure the delivery of high-quality radiological services, and proactively address all imaging-related requirements in the best interest of patient care and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting on all plain X-Rays and mammograms
• Special investigations Barium Enema, Meal, IVP, VCUG, Sialogram, Retrograde urethrogram and HSG
• CT and MRI
• Sonograms
• Pelvis, including TVS
• Pregnancy
• Abdomen (General, GB, Renal, etc.)
• Neck
• Musculoskeletal
• Testis
• Postnatal Skull
• Breast
• Doppler for DVT, Carotid
•  In addition to any other Radiological Service if and when required.

Qualifications:

• A Medical Degree (M.D. or M.B.B.S.) from an accredited school of medicine, plus a completed residency programme in Radiology.
• Completion of a residency in radiology and a fellowship in a specialized area of radiology (if applicable).
• Proven experience interpreting and diagnosing medical images across various modalities (e.g., X-rays, CT, MRI, Ultrasound).
• Advanced training or certification in subspecialties such as interventional radiology, neuroradiology, or pediatric radiology (preferred).
• Up-to-date registration with the Barbados Medical Council (or other professional registration body if not resident in Barbados).
• BLS or ACLS certification would be an asset.
• High proficiency and comfort level in performing biopsies and CT drainage procedures
• Proficiency with radiology software systems.
