The Labs Coordinator is responsible for clearing patients based on a standard and defined process to ensure the patient can safely undergo surgery

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Assists patients in evaluating them for their appropriate surgical procedure(s)

· Reviews patient’s medical and health history to determine pre-admission testing

· Schedules appropriate medical and cardiac clearances

· Schedules patients for follow-up appointments and tests

· Coordinates with clinical staff to gather information for all patients

· Codes information from physicians about procedures performed

· Assesses no further testing or additional clearances are needed

· Other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Internal and external customer service orientation

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

 

Education and Experience:

· Must be in their 4th year of nursing school or already a licensed Registered Nurse (RN)

. Must have completes Labs and Clinical already if still in school

· Social Media Savvy

· Minimum 1 year of customer service experience

· Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred

· Plastic surgery knowledge preferred

· HIPPA & OSHA Compliance Certification preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer and answering multiple phone calls per day

 

Travel Requirements:

· Be able to commute to and from the site.
