Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor for a Civil Engineering Consulting and Construction Company

The desired applicant should possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying
• Master’s Degree and/or professional certification would be an advantage
• Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in quantity surveying
• Knowledgeable, flexible & adaptable to carry out Contracting and Consulting Quantity Surveying functions
• Very organised with excellent time management skills to ensure all deadlines are met
• A high level of verbal & written communication & negotiating skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods & equipment

Key duties of the job include:

• Prepare tender and contract documents
• Perform risk, value management & cost control
• Analyse costing for tenders submitted & prepare tender reports
• Execute quantity take-offs and pricing for projects
• Value completed work, prepare contractual claims for payments
