1. Manages the contractual and financial aspects of construction projects. 2. Ensures projects are completed within the agreed budget. 3. Upholds performance standards, adheres to policies, and follows health and safety regulations

 

  • Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Prepares tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  2. Reviews architectural plans.
  3. Analyzes quotations and liaises with Contracts Managers.
  4. Provides advice on construction contracts and assists in negotiating and administering them.
  5. Generates priced bill of quantities for buildings and civil infrastructure.
  6. Manages procurement process for private sector clients and produces tender documentation for public sector clients.
  7. Completes tender evaluation reports for both private and public sector projects
  8. Responsible for commercial management of assigned contracts.
  9. Compiles and completes tender documents.
  10. Manages contract commercial issues, including variations, cost variance reports, budgets, and final accounts.
  11. Good knowledge of FIDIC, JCT, and AIA forms of contract.
  12. Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 

 

EDUCATION, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • BSc. Degree in Quantity Surveying, construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail and good commercial awareness.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data analysis, project documentation, and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and solution- oriented approach.
