Quantity Surveyor with 10-15 years of experience preferably in building and civil engineering projects.
The following requirements are needed:
-Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying from an accredited academic institution. Please provide a copy in your application.
-Professional membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors will be an asset. If so, please provide proof of membership in your application.
- Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of working experience.
- Must have knowledge of laws and regulations governing large-scale construction projects, project management, OSH Regulations, Building Codes, the Companies Act and any other relevant legislation.
- Must have strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Must be a team player and have strong communication skills.
- Must be able to prepare accurate cost estimates and/or Bills of Quantity for projects.
- Must be able to ensure that projects are completed on time, in target and within budget.
- Ability to assist in the development of policies and procedures for their delivery and implementation.
- Ability to carry out feasibility studies for projects to prepare estimates associated with the scope of work for the project.
- Strong communication with the project staff and proponents ensuring that all commercial controls are implemented and adhered to.
- Conducts site inspections to ensure that all work is completed in line with the specifications of the project and the ensure that quality control is in place.
- Must be able to perform any other duties relative to the job as assigned by the management of the Company.
