Job Overview

Objectively inform hotel management about the departments that are applying to the hotel’s official standards, internal procedures, safety, and hygiene standards. Monitor, propose and evaluate improvements for environmental and hygiene certifications to obtain guest satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Audit the procedures to the different departments.
  • Authorize permits, vacations, and absents, according to the needs of operation in the department.
  • Train new staff.
  • Follow up on reports of gardening slopes.
  • Direct, plan and supervise the entire operation carried out by the department personnel in accordance with the established standards.
  • Deliver a report of the daily reviews weekly to F&B, accommodations, and environment.
  • Send inventories of lounge chairs, hammocks, and beach tables to be able to predict when new furniture needs to be purchased.
  • Keep the procedures updated according to the work plan.
  • Be informed of updated hygiene rules.
  • Foresee the activities and organization of the department.
  • Lead quality audits and manage corrective actions.
  • Propose improvement options by carrying out the analysis of the results obtained during the certification audits and daily authorships.
  • Place quality orders. 
  • Place gardening orders.
  • Tour of gardening areas.
  • Responsible for the application and procedures for hygiene certification (Distinctive H).
  • Check the gardening log to be informed of all the activities that are carried out per day, as well as put requests that are required (since it is the means of communication with gardeners).
  • Review, structure and analyze reports for the direction of the scores or the state of the areas (F&B, accommodation, and environment) to know which departments comply with the procedures, good practices, rules, and policies of the hotel.
  • Follow-up to our beach cleaning certification (Blue Flag).
  • Follow-up to our environmental certification (Earthcheck).
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in tourism or business management.
  • Minimum of 3 years working in quality or in an administrative department.
  • Knowledge of standards, procedures, classification of a resort of similar category.
  • Knowledge in environmental, hygiene, safety certifications, etc.
  • Knowledge of the legislation of the area.
