Reporting to the General Manager, Human Resources, the Quality Manager (QM) is responsible for managing the administrative functions across the group for Registration, Assessment for Certification and ensuring quality delivery of services, and the accuracy, confidentiality quality of data.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

                  General Administrative Duties

 

  1. Ensure the preparation, implementation and maintenance of operational systems, procedures and standards to guide the registration and assessment functions of the all departments within the Group.
  2. Prepares  the  operational  plan  for  staff  within  the  span  of  control  to support the achievement of the Company’s strategic objectives.
  3. Ensures adherence to all operational policies and procedures to fulfil requirements of related audits (Accreditation, Assessment, Internal and External Moderation.
  4. Assist with coordination of site visits by Accreditation Evaluation Team and ensure response to the findings on a timely basis, within the span of control
  5. Ensures that all weaknesses highlighted by audits (accreditation, Assessment) and all other relevant audits are addressed on a timely basis.
  6. Ensures the developmental needs of staff within the span of control are clearly identified and addressed.
  7. Conducts Performance Appraisals and recommends training and other development programs for staff within the span of control.
  8. Establishes and maintains effective network with associated industry/ institutions to enhance collaboration and sharing of information for mutual development.
  9. Coordinates external assessments in accordance with NCTVET, ISO 9001 standards, policies and procedures.
  10. Coordinates the periodic review of test items (to be used by assessors) and grades to maintain relevance and integrity of the assessment process.
  11. Coordinates external moderation exercises.
  12. Ensures quarterly internal audit of the admission, registration and assessment processes with the use of the NCTVET Self-Assessment Audit document for quality assurance and control.
  13. Performs other related duties that may be assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATION/COMPETENCIES

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Internal Audit ISO standards

Required Experience:

Three (3) years experience in Quality Management

Training in Registration, assessment and records management processes
