Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Quality Coordinator with significant experience in the oil and gas industry.

 

Overview / Responsibilites

 

The Quality Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the field execution of the quality assurance and quality control program by ensuring quality issues/problems within Construction/Engineering are identified, reported and rectified. 

 

Plans, coordinate and reports on the execution of QAQC plans within Inspection activities/findings for the Construction/Engineering Department.

 

Plans, coordinates on the inspection activities/findings for the Onshore Construction Department.

 

Coordinate with Subcontractors quality the correct implementation of Subcontractors Quality Programs.

 

  • Ensures, verifies and monitors document traceability and transmittal to Client 
  • Construction projects, and makes inputs regarding Quality deliverables as required PWO.
  • Liaises with the Engineering Department where necessary.
  • Review and approve Contractor procedures (eg WPS, WPQR, NDE, Bolting and coating etc)
  • Plans and Work / Operations Procedures for the overall Construction activities. 
  • Ensures that Quality Plans and ITP’s are completed for all projects.
  • Monitors implementation of corrective actions in response to the identification of nonconforming products/services through QA/QC Audits or otherwise, until the unsatisfactory condition has been rectified.
  • Coordinate all site inspections with the site subcontractors
  • Ensure that all inspection reports are accurate and that all attached documents are current status
  • Ensure all work is correctly prepared prior to any inspection being undertaken.
  • Review all inspection reports for compliance, with reference to applicable codes and standards/procedures
  • Identifies and evaluates Quality-related incidents / problems / non-conformances and initiates, recommends, and provides effective solutions where necessary.
  • Coordinate with the site subcontractors’ QC inspectors for the resolution of site problems.
  • Assist the site subcontractors in the resolution of drawing interpretation.
  • Attend the daily/weekly/monthly operations meetings to ensure QC  input
  • Review work procedures and method statements for compliance with good work practices and the customers contract specializations.
  • Issuance of non-conformance reports in conjunction with project SPA.
  • Liaises with the QA Team Leader in the coordination of all Internal Quality Audits as per approved schedule.
  • Manages relationship with subcontracted companies to ensure compliance between subcontracted services and Company/Client best practices.
  • Liaises with HSSE representatives (internal, client & external) to ensure inherent compliance of maintenance documentation with Massy Wood Group safety standards.
  • Visits onshore facilities as required to perform QA/QC support as required by the Construction Team Leader or the QA Team Leader.
  • Responsible for coordinating Inspector’s deliverables for jobs.
  • Outline Quality Deliverables based on job scope
  • Performs all other related job functions as required.

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Certification in Construction, Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution.
  • Certification/Training in Quality (must be based on ISO 9001:2015) from a recognised institution.  (For example CQE, CQA, CQT or CQI). (Preferable)
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with AWS. (Preferable)
  • Non-destructive Testing such as MT, PT, UT, and VT will be an asset.
  • Tested and certified by ASNT (or equivalent nationally recognized program) in the required NDT method(s) specified by the Contract and shall be required to fulfill the full scope of a practicing Level II including, but not limited to: method application, interpretation of results, interpretation of codes and standards, preparation of procedures.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the Oil and Gas or Power Generation businesses.
  • A working knowledge of Construction / Structural / Inspection codes and practices such as API 570, 620 and 650, ASME B31.3, AWS D1.1, API 1104, ASME Section V and IX. NACE standards, ISO 8501 & SSPC Systems
  • Shall demonstrate a working a thorough knowledge and proven ability of all phases and types of critical coating applications, methods, and recognized industry standards.
  • As a minimum, he/ she shall have experience with: Installation of equipment such as, Pumps, Motors, Skids, Valves, Vessels, Compressors, Fired Heaters, Auxiliary Equipment, Packaged Equipment in plant construction….etc.
