We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Control Supervisor.The ideal candidate will inspect and test vehicles at various stages in the repairs process and evaluate performance.

 

 

NATURE & SCOPE OF FUNCTIONS:

 

To inspect and test vehicles at various stages in the repairs process and evaluate performance under a variety of conditions and ensure the quality, reliability and drivability of vehicles pursuant to repairs and the effective utilization of workshop resources; to ensure that vehicle maintenance and repairs are done in accordance with manufacturers recommended procedures and standards; that accurate record keeping of the Service Department’s stores and the safety and cleanliness of the workshop are maintained.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  

  1. 1.     To Inspect, (assign repair orders), monitor Dealer Management system, plan and control workshop flow and work distribution and make recommendations to standard within the specified timeframe.                  

 

 

  1. 2.     To monitor work activities, assist in coordinating and ensuring the satisfactory execution of all activities related to the repair of vehicles including engine repair or maintenance work or related repairs.

 

 

  1. To ensure requested and required repairs are completed as per Repair Order and that all work has been satisfactorily done and perform test drives.

                                                                                                                     

 

  1. 4.     To Liaise with Service Writers regarding jobs status, work delays, necessary repair order extensions, and any additional R.O. related concerns.

 

  1. 5.     To Analyze reasons for Rechecks.

 

  1. 6.     To monitor and maintain department inventory of tools and equipment make recommendations for acquisition, replacement, repairs of tools and equipment.

 

  1. 7.     To participate in special projects and specially assigned tasks when required.

 

  1. 8.     To participate in all relevant Nissan and Company Training Activities

 

  1. To perform any other related duties as directed by the Service Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • JAGAS Certificate in Automotive Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Five (5) years’ experience as a technician. 
  • Five (5) CXC certificates, including English and Mathematics
  • Minimum 3 years’ dealership experience
  • Valid General driver’s license
  • Clean police record
